Who we are

TownInsider is a service operated by Autaimate, based in Cornwall, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information you provide on this website.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

• Your first name
• Your email address
• Which Cornish town interests you
• When you're planning to visit Cornwall (optional)

We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on this site.

Why we collect it and the legal basis

We use this information to send you launch updates and occasional product news, and to understand which towns to prioritise.

The legal basis for processing is your consent, given by joining the waitlist. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us.

How long we keep it

We retain your information for as long as you remain on the waitlist, and for up to 12 months after our public launch — whichever is sooner. If you unsubscribe, we delete your information within 30 days.

Who we share it with

We use the following service providers (processors) to operate the waitlist on our behalf:

• SmartSuite — form submissions are stored here. SmartSuite is based in the United States; international transfers are protected under the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Cloudflare — hosts this website and handles network traffic securely.

We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone else.

Cookies

This website does not set tracking cookies. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, may set strictly necessary cookies for security and load-balancing purposes — these are exempt from consent requirements under UK regulations.

When you click "Join the waitlist", you are taken to a form hosted by SmartSuite. SmartSuite's own privacy policy governs that page.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Have inaccurate data corrected
• Have your data erased
• Restrict how we use your data
• Object to processing
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk .

Changes to this notice

If we make material changes to this notice, we'll update the date above and notify you by email where appropriate.
